Amber was on the fringes of sleep, she had traded shifts with another in the medical department who needed a few more hours due to their sick baby. It was a good thing, meaning she would be on early shift, and then most likely work well into her own shift.

The sudden shift of the ship alerted her to something, as her room was bathed in red light. The cry of a voice she recongized as the ships executive officer screamed Red Alert.

Amber rolled off the bed grabbing her clothing as she quickly got into them. Her eyes adjusting to the half light, she spoke, "Computer lights."

The computer chirped but did not comply with the request. Amber moved towards her door that did not open, she edged her fingers into the grove and pushed slightly to force the doors open, making her way to the hall way.

The half lights told her that the ships power was being cut for some reason.

"Turbo lifts are offline", a security officer said to another as they trotted by her quarters. Amber turned and made her way towards the nearest jefferies tube and entered it.

"Well I might as well try to get to sick bay", she said to no one as she climbed.
